XML Spreadsheet Error and Recovery

• Obtain the latest hotfix to prevent further issues due to non-contiguous selection and saving.

• If file is damaged, try these steps to recover:



. Try to open the file with 'Open and Repair' option. For this, click Microsoft Office Button-> Open and select the damaged spreadsheet. Next, click on the arrow next to Open tab and click 'Open and Repair'. To recover possible data, click on the 'Repair' option and to extract values and formulas, click on 'Extract Data'.

. If the problem persists, use your recent data backup to replace the affected file with a healthy copy.

. If the backup is unavailable, not updated or corrupt, the last option is to use third party Excel Recovery applications.
